The Best Baseball Content

The Best Baseball Content

There’s a lot of baseball content out on the internet. Some good, a lot not so good. I’m a firm believer in looking at what the best players at the highest level are doing in baseball and imitating what they’re trying to do or listening and applying what they’re saying and thinking. There are two YouTube channels that I think put out the best content in baseball when it comes to both entertainment and education.

The first channel is pretty focused on pitching and will probably come as no surprise. Trevor Bauer hands down puts out some of, if not the best content on the internet when it comes to all things pitching. He goes into great detail on everything you could ever want to know about pitching at the highest level, all while teaching and showing every little important detail. If you want to learn how to throw any pitch, he’s made a video on it. If you want to know how to sequence pitches, he’s got it. If you want to know how he builds arm strength, makes in-game adjustments, how he works out, or just about any pitching mechanic in great detail, he’s got a video on it. By watching his videos alone, you can get a masterclass education on just about all things pitching, and in my opinion, he’s done such a great job covering all of these topics, he’s got to be close to running out of things to cover. For all things pitching, I highly recommend you watch Trevor Bauer - YouTube

If you’re not trying to watch pitching videos, but you’re interested in every other aspect of the game, there’s one team that does it the best: The San Francisco Giants. The amount of in-depth fielding routines, hitting routines, drills, instruction, and education that is put on to this channel is unparalleled. Just a couple of days ago, the Giants uploaded a 20-minute video of Matt Chapman and his pregame fielding routine. It really doesn’t get better than that. Here’s a player who is actively in his defensive prime telling you and showing you exactly what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, why it’s important, and what he’s thinking about while performing at the highest level. There are countless videos like this where you can learn and apply each one of these things for free! The most shocking thing to me with this channel is how few views are on each video when you see just how much value they’re actually providing. Even if you’re a Dodger fan, I recommend you put your hatred aside and take a look, a long look. San Francisco Giants - YouTube
